After a very brief illness, Norma passed away just three months shy of her 100th birthday.
Norma was predeceased by her husband Peter and daughter Linda, son-in-law Allan and grandson Dale. She is survived by sons, Gord (Dodie), Dennis (Wendy) and daughter Barbara, as well as seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Norma was always cheerful, proudly independent, and lived in her home of 72 years up until her very last weeks.
Norma worked part-time for many years at Eaton's downtown and was especially fond of their Red Velvet cake. Norma was very active as Secretary-Treasurer of her local bowling league at the Mosienko Alley and the Senior Ladies group at Grace Lutheran Church. She was an awesome mom and grandmother who knew how to have fun and was a mean Lawn Dart player when Thanksgiving dishes were on the line.
65 years ago Norma and Peter along with sister-in-law Olga and husband Steve made a family legacy at Nutimik Lake and will be fondly remembered for the years of family, friends and fun times.

My condolences on your loss Dennis & Wendy and to all of your family. Over the years I heard many great stories of Mama Sol. I always thought of her tending to her yard and garden. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Sandie Foster (Friend of Wendy & Dennis) on: Aug 04, 2022
So sad to hear of the passing of your Mom, Barb, and family of Norma Sol. You often spoke of your Mom with such love, fondness and admiration. I loved hearing the cottage stories and seeing your beautiful photos of time shared with your Mom and family. I was happy to have the priveledge of meeting her a couple years back, and I could easily share in your admiration. I know you will all miss her dearly, yet, you will also have so many great memories. May she rest peacefully, and continue to be forever independent!! 🙏 ❤️ Hugs! - Posted by: Darlene and John (Friends) on: Aug 03, 2022

I have very fond memories of Mrs Sol & the family. I remember Mrs Sol being such a sweet lady, always with a smile. I spent many hours in their home while growing up with Barb. She was always happy & welcomed all into their home & cottage. Always making sure no one went hungry. I was able to visit & celebrate her 99th birthday with her. We shared so many memories & had some laughs. Rest in Peace Mrs Sol. You are now with Peter, Linda, Allen, Dale & others that went before you. 💝🙏🏼 - Posted by: Lois Reid (Barb’s & family friend of 52 years) on: Jul 30, 2022
