Mom was the sixth child of ten siblings growing up on a farm near Wapella, SK, where farm responsibilities established a very strong work ethic. Those strong lessons served her well throughout her various career paths, right into retirement.
Mom was very active in St. John's Cantius and CPAC for many years, where she was awarded a Merit Award for dedicated commitment to the club. In her later years, she enjoyed her lifestyle at Concordia Village I.
Family gatherings were very important and she enjoyed the banter and competitive games with young and old. Mom had a competitive edge and never failed to show her fighting spirit.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a charity of choice.
Special thank you to the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care of our mom.
A funeral service will be held in Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg on Monday, August 15 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)
Donna and family I am so sorry to learn of your mom's passing. Losing your mom is a difficult loss and I want to extend my deepest and heartfelt sympathy to your whole family. I remember when your mom worked behind the meat counter at the Safeway on Logan and Keewatin. I would always stop and chat with your mom any and every time I was there. That will always be a fond memory for me. She was a lovely lady. - Posted by: Dianne Kennedy (friend) on: Aug 13, 2022
