As one of John primary caregivers, I loved every minute I spent with him. From his first day in our PCH I immediately fell in love with him. His humor, his loving demeanor and every passing day I never wanted to say goodbye. If I could have I would have spent every one of my shifts sitting with him and chatting about his life with his business Canvasback, the band with the boys or the crazy things him and his brothers got into. I will cherish every memory and every moment I spent with him. To caring for him during COVID, to helping rehabilitate him to walk again, even shaving his face in the morning (he always let me even though he could do it no problem). I was his girl and he was my favorite guy. Rest in peace my dear friend. I'm sorry I wasn't there to say goodbye. My deepest condolences to his wife Velma and his daughters. - Posted by: Chelsey (Caregiver ) on: Aug 25, 2022

Am going to miss my dear friend in so many ways. Met John on the first day of the job at General Motors in November 1968 and we have been friends ever since. You'd go a long way to find a person more; kind, generous, nice, intelligent, fun, humorous, creative, musical a better friend. We as many others are blessed to have known John and his family. Our deepest condolences to John's many family and friends. Rest in peace dear friend, always remembered. Court, Betty and Family. - Posted by: Court Brooker (Friend) on: Aug 20, 2022

Such a lovely man who will be greatly missed. Sending a big hug Velma and the girls. Maybe he and Wayne will be playing a few tunes to a celestial audience. - Posted by: Barbara Charlton (Viznaugh) (anonymous) on: Aug 20, 2022
