HEINRICH (HENRY) SCHOTT
July 23, 1928 - August 18, 2022
After a long and blessed life, Heinrich Schott passed away after a brief period of illness on August 18, 2022, at the age of 94.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Barbara, Roland and Anita. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Irene (Plato), brother Helmut, sister Sofie and parents, Jakob and Lina (Weiss) Schott in Germany.
Henry was born in Gefrees, in northern Bavaria, and immigrated to Canada in 1954 where he worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker.
He was an inspiration to all who knew him and was dedicated to his family, God and church. Funeral services will take place at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, followed by a luncheon at church and interment at Glen Lawn Cemetery on Lagimodiere Boulevard.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Victoria General Hospital where Henry worked for 17 years in the Maintenance Department until his retirement.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Community Palliative Care Program (especially Shawn), the Health Sciences Centre Respirology and Thoracic units, Dr. Slutchuk at the Victoria, Family Doctors MacLeod and Oladini for the exceptional care and support.

I was introduced to Mr and Mrs Schott almost 40 years ago while attending Red River College with Roland. I was greeted with a warm smile, food, drink, and an immediate connection to the family that has continued all these years. Mr Schott is a true example of a husband, father, and friend, in which I have had the utmost respect for.
