DONATO (DANNY) ANTONIO NICHOLAS FALCETTA
Peacefully, on August 15, 2022, Donato passed away at the age of 69.
He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 44 years, Brigitte; his son Anthony (Cheryl) and grandchildren, Ella and Danico. He is also survived by his sister Louise (Sandro), brother Dominic (Carmela), sister Mickey (Wally) as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Christopher, father Antonio and mother Maria.
Donato was born on May 18, 1953 in Campobasso, Italy and immigrated to Canada with his mother in 1954. He worked for Great West Life Insurance Company for 35 years and retired in 2008. Danny made many great friends during his career and kept in touch with them throughout his retirement. He volunteered countless hours with the St. James Lions Club, as President of the Assiniboia-West Community Club and served on the Board of Directors at the Red River College. During his retirement he enjoyed golfing, gardening and spending time in his backyard. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Road, viewing held from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. For those who wish to attend the Funeral Mass virtually please visit https://youtu.be/to6Kt0dmxpM. Interment will take place Friday, August 26, 2022 at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Portage Avenue.
The family wish to thank Dr. Zacharias, Dr. Leylek and the many nurses and staff at the Health Sciences Centre who all provided exceptional care. Thank you also, to the doctors and nurses at Oakview Place.
