DENNIS SYDNEY SKRABEK

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Dennis Sydney Skrabek, aged 73, of Anola, Manitoba on August 29, 2022, at St. Boniface Hospital. Dennis passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret Skrabek; step-sons, Wayne (Shi Ann) and Lawrence (Shauna), daughter Tammy (Peter); son Dennis Jr. (Lindsay); sister Diane, 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many other friends and family.
Dennis proudly spent a lifetime dedicated to working with heavy equipment becoming a much-respected role model for others in the field. His proudest moments were in his last years while working side by side with his son, Dennis Jr., at Tri-Core Projects Ltd.
Making time for family was always important; whether it was cooking breakfast for his family Sunday morning or an afternoon playing cards together, it meant the world to him. Dennis also loved the wildlife and the outdoors, including hunting and fishing and enjoying the wonder of nature.
Many thanks to Dr. Olafson and the wonderful staff at the ICCS ward of the St. Boniface Hospital for the thoughtful care provided.
Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Green Acres Funeral Home. Those who wish to join us virtually may do so, accessing the Livestream through Dennis's obituary at www.greenacres funeralhome.com.
A private burial of his ashes will take place on a later date at Inwood Cemetery where his ashes will be laid to rest alongside his father.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Boniface Hospital.
