SANDRA GENE HAYHOW
July 5, 1951 - August 17, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Sandra Hayhow, at the age of 71 on August 17, 2022.
Sandy was predeceased by her daughter Jaqueline Hayhow in 2020. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Schepp (Earl), Kat Patenaude (Chris) and grandchildren, Devin (Kelsey), Morgan (Kenzie), and Lucas Schepp, as well as Sophie Eyamie and Maguire Steingart.
Sandy was born in Carberry, Manitoba and soon moved to Winnipeg. In her 30s, she decided to go back to school to pursue a career as a psychologist and ended up working in the Federal Correctional System. This led to her ability to move to different cities where she made many friends along the way.
Many thanks to the caregivers at the De Salaberry Regional Health Centre in St. Pierre Jolys for their compassionate care of our Mom for the short time she spent with them.
A celebration of Sandy's life will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Viscount Gort Hotel, 1670 Portage Avenue.

I’m wondering if this is the Sandy Hayhow who would have done her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay in the early to mid-1990’s? If so, I have fond memories of her and can still hear her hearty and deep raspy laugh. Although we only knew each other for those couple of years, she was always a joy to be around.
