MAURICE (MOE) CHARTIER
It is with profound sadness and much love, we announce the passing of Maurice on September 11, 2022 at the age of 74.
Moe was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Laurant Chartier. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Margaret, stepson Mac, and mother-in-law Barbara, his sister Lillian (John), godson Marc Clement, nephew Davin Clement, a special aunt Madeleine, numerous cousins and dear friends.
He was born in Morris and raised in Winnipeg. For the past year he resided at a long term care home.
Moe was a very private caring person and always willing to help. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Montreal Canadiens and the Winnipeg Jets. He also loved to watch and play golf.
Moe loved spending time at his cottage on the Lee River. Margaret and Moe took many trips to Cuba where they enjoyed walks along the beach.
While attending University, Moe volunteered at the Youth Centre. Before his retirement, Moe was employed at Workers Compensation for over 30 years.
Sincere thanks to the Palliative Care staff at the St. Boniface Hospital during his short stay.
In memory of Moe, have a rum and Coke to toast to his life.
Donations in memory of Maurice may be made to Parkinson Manitoba or a charity of your choice.
Cremation has taken place and a small private service will be held.
