ROGER JOSEPH BARNABE
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our dearly loved husband, father and grandfather, Roger Joseph Barnabé, on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the Victoria General Hospital at 80 years of age.
Roger was born on September 12, 1942 to his parents, Phillip, and Agnes Barnabé and grew up in Dugald, Manitoba. Roger was predeceased by his beloved son, Darren (Michelle) in 2007. Roger leaves to mourn his wife of 58 years, Patricia; daughters Michelle (Denis) Fidler and Jeannine (Bob) Pistawka. He will also be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Courtney, Megan, Dana, Chelsea, Austin, Caitlin, and Jesse. Roger is also remembered by his sisters, Irene (Ron) Simeons; Lorraine Kreitz; and his brothers Eddie (Diane); and Marcel (Adele) and many nieces and nephews.
Roger will be remembered as a devoted family-man, a lover of music, horses, sports, and his grandchildren.
The family genuinely appreciated all the support and care given by the many personal health care workers over the years; as well as the nurses and staff at the Victoria General Hospital. A special thank you to Shahid Shams for his on-going support for Roger and his family.
A celebration of his life was held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at St. John XXIII Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roger's name to Diabetes Canada.
