Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Sincere condolences for the profound loss of your mom, Jamie, and wife, Chris. We are so sorry to hear the sad news. Colleen was such a generous, cheerful, friendly lady with an infectious smile and laugh! She was such a blessing to all who knew her! We are praying for comfort for you both while you reminisce and cherish her memories. Love & hugs from the Miller's - Posted by: Randy, Nadine, David & Jamie Miller (Friends) on: Oct 23, 2022

  • Our condolences to Chris and Jamie. I had worked with Chris for a number of years and became good friends with both him and the family. Have shared many a story with them, both at their home where I was made to feel welcome and almost part of the family; also many a lunch or breakfast just to keep up acquaintances and share more stories after our retirements. Colleen will always be remembered as a kind and gentle spirit. May God's peace be with the family. - Posted by: Ron Hickey (co-worker of Chris & Family friend) on: Oct 22, 2022

  • A long time friend since Grade 1, we really grew up together and shared many childhood/teen experiences. I knew the family well and loved going to her house on Woodvale there was always butterscotch and chocolate chip cookies for the taking. Summer growing up was always spent hanging around Frasers Grove Park on the Red River and just being with a group of good friends. Colleen was my Maid of Honour in 1977. After moving to BC, we visited and shared many conversations over the phone. I will miss her conversations and was always thinking of here. Rest in Peace Colleen Marlene (and Bob) Pearson - Posted by: Marlene Pearson (Long time friend since Grade 1) on: Oct 22, 2022

  • Such a kind, gentle lady, I always enjoyed seeing Colleen on her way across the street to give me the latest updates during one of our many boulevard chats, on her hand and knees weeding the front landscaping, or a quick wave from the sidewalk as I drove away. Sometimes even a beer or two in their backyard! Always a good memory for this papa was Chris, Colleen and Jamie set up outside to greet kids every Halloween, it was always the last stop for my little ones (Colleen would always "load them up") before we pulled the plug and returned home to check our candy bounty. I hope Jamie takes some comfort in feeling that Colleen's health struggles are behind her and she is now in a better place with her mom, dad, brother and sister. - Posted by: Mike Parker (Neighbour) on: Oct 22, 2022
