Lily P. K. Yip passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, October 17, 2022.
Lily will be lovingly remembered by her husband Winston, of 21 years, and her two daughters, Caitlyn and Hayley. Lily is survived by her mother Yu Lun Or, sister Lena Or (Frank Tom); brother Allen Or; mother-in-law Si Hing Yip; sister-in-law Jeannie Yip (Andrew Jang); and was predeceased by her father Wing Or. She will also be lovingly remembered by many relatives and friends.
Lily was born in Hong Kong and raised in Winnipeg. She completed her education at J.H. Bruns High School and University of Manitoba. After the completion of her education, she worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car where she met her soulmate, Winston. Following Enterprise, for the past 15 years, she continued her professional career at Piston Ring Service.
Lily was a very proud mother and a dedicated supporter of Caitlyn's and Hayley's endeavours in Gymnastics at Springers (and Winnipeg Gymnastics Centre). In her other available time, she enjoyed travelling with her family and relatives.
Lily was a wonderful role model for everyone in her family and at work. She will be sadly missed, and our memories of her will live on and never be forgotten ... we will carry on her legacy One Day at a Time...
Lily's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Goldenberg and the CancerCare Manitoba staff as well as St. Boniface Palliative Care for their extraordinary kindness and support.
As per Lily's wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family interment. A celebration of her life will follow at a later time.

I had the privilege of knowing Lily for approximately sixteen years. She hired me as a driver at Piston Ring Service and became the very finest boss and supervisor I had ever had. She was exemplary in every way; hard working and versatile, and treated me as Royalty; with kindness and fairness, and always displayed a good and genuine sense of humour, brightening every day with her smile. I regret that I was unable to see her during her illness as I was also under medical care and immobile. Lily will always be remembered for the good person she was. Lily will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to her family. Waldo H Enns - Posted by: Waldo H. Enns (Lily was my supervisor and friend.) on: Nov 08, 2022

I am proud to say I was privileged to know, work with and call her my friend. She had a way about her that could always put a smile on your face even when you were in a bad mood. I will miss and never forget her. To Winston, Caitlyn and Hayley. Your wife and mother will be in all of our hearts here at PR forever. Never to be forgotten. - Posted by: Ryan Chudy (Friend/coworker ) on: Nov 04, 2022

Lily was such a bright spot in my days with PR. I consider myself lucky to have worked alongside such a kind, bright, helpful, and witty beam of good energy. She let me share her desk on occasion and it was immaculate and full of family photos. Always smiling, always ready for the next move. She was something else, grateful to have known her.
