Peacefully and unexpectedly on November 8, 2022 at the Misericordia Hospital, Laura passed away at the age of 83 years.
Mom was predeceased by her son Kevin. She is survived by her daughter Kelly (Larry); grandchildren, Rhea (Ray), Michelle, Samantha (Jamie), Lance, Karli (Derrick); great-grandchildren, Sharron, Kali, Riley, Reyna and Caleb.
Mom was born on November 19, 1938 in Glenboro, Manitoba. She was the ninth child born of 13 children. At the age of 15 she moved to Winnipeg, where she stayed and planted her roots in the Brookland's area. With having such a huge family, mom had countless stories she often shared (and who hasn't heard them).
She loved talking about family especially with her dear friend Mrs. C. Mom had a great passion for reading books, doing daily crossword puzzles from the paper and of course we can't forget those Blue Jays games (she loved her baseball).
Anyone who knew mom, knew that she was all about family and friends. She looked forward to each Sunday when we all visited her. She had many extra kids and grandkids she called her own, especially Terry and Simone, Jordan and Justin.
And speaking of friends, the family would love to thank Claire, our friend and wonderful part of our family. Thank you, Claire for always being there for mom, and all the things you've done for her. They've never gone unnoticed. The family would also like to thank Neil Bardal Funeral Centre for making this time easier.
A celebration of her life for family and friends will be held at a future date.

Not a day goes by that you don't cross my mind, I'll forever miss our 2-3 hour phone calls with each other. I miss our Sunday lunches and coffees. So sad to hear of Aunty Laura’s passing. As a child I remember her always smiling, always happy to see us. We could stop there anytime and we were always welcome!
