It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Bernice Ruth Reid on November 22, 2022 at the age of 88.
Left to mourn her passing is her son Don (Liz) Chopeck; grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Chopeck and Kimberly (Sam) Lewis; great-grandsons, Charles Chopeck and Theodore Lewis; granddogs, Gus and Brody, as well as her many good friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and May (Rady) Chopeck; brother Frank (Sonny) Chopeck, sister Margaret (Dolly) Griffin and spouse Charles Reid.
Bernice was a great cook and loved to feed everyone at the farm where she fed farm help and friends. She loved and cared for animals from cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, squirrels, racoons, foxes and whatever else would come around. She loved gardening and continued that until her passing. She loved knitting and made numerous slippers and donated knitted hats for premature babies in the hospital.
A reception will be held on December 9, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Dugald Community Club, 544 Holland Street.
Donations may be made to the Dugald Community Club.
