ANNALIESE HARTFIEL
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Anneliese Hartfiel on November 27, 2022, at the age of 71.
Anneliese was predeceased by her husband Ernst, and her parents Maria and Herbert Thomas.
Anneliese was born November 3, 1951 in Langburkersdorf, Germany and immigrated to Winnipeg with her parents in December of 1956. In the early 1980s she met the love of her life Ernst Hartfiel and they were married in the summer of 1982 until his passing in 2014. Together they enjoyed travelling and spending time with friends at the German Society of Winnipeg (GSW) or Camp Neustadt during the summer months. Anneliese dedicated herself to the GSW and volunteered in many different roles, especially during Folklorama and was a long-standing member of its board. In recent years Anneliese also dedicated her time as a member of the St. Peter's Singers and was a member of the board of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and the German Canadian Congress, she also enjoyed regularly visiting with her friends for coffee at St. Vital Centre.
We would like to thank the Laframboise family for their longstanding friendship and support for Anneliese especially after the passing of Ernst, you meant the world to her and we know you will miss her immensely.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in her name to a charity of your choice.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Highway 1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg.

We were friends with Annaliese for many years and worked at Folklorama together. A few years ago we started going out on Sundays for supper with her and enjoyed many a meal with Annaliese. We will miss her friendship and we extend our sincere sympathies to her family. Hans & Inge - Posted by: Hans & Inge Struck (Friends ) on: Dec 03, 2022
