We met Barb about a year ago just walking our dog Duke past her house. We said hi a few times then started having conversations. Duke soon started expecting to stop in at Barb and Marcel's. He simply wouldn't take no for an answer so it became a regular visit on our walks and because of this, friendships were automatically formed. We only wish that we would have had the opportunity to know her longer. She will be missed. Our sincere condolences to Marcel and the whole family. - Posted by: Tammy Legrand & Ron Prysizney (Friends) on: Dec 07, 2022

I always admired Barb for her strength, courage, being a mentor, someone to hear kind words....but if she was mad words would come out and she would give you the what for...lecture. As being a girl with only brothers times with her, chatting was so nice. Barb was a beautiful, loving woman. When my brother passed she called me, with kind words and fond memories. Barb has been in my heart since I moved to Ross Ave, from Mcdermot. We never had disagreements, she was always there with a huge hug. One story my father was so grateful to Barb, for her respect and kindness. My dad, passed in 99, was in one of the hotels, Westbrook, on a payday. Dad paid for his beers putting his wallet away. When he got up the wallet fell out of his pocket. Barb found it but dad had left for home. Barb, came to the house right away telling my dad she found it on the floor. He was always fond of Barb, he was especially touched that she brought his wallet home with his pay still inside. Dad always had a special spot in his heart for her, because of her honesty and kindness. I am going to miss her, Barb was always a special person to many. May you rest in peace in heaven, as l know you will have no problem getting your angel's wings. I love you Barb and will forever remember you, Barb you are in a safe place in my heart. Thank you Barb for all you did for me. - Posted by: Linda Nimshon (Friend/neighbour) on: Dec 06, 2022

The memories I have of Barb is whenever she would walk down Ross Avenue and pass our house she would often stop and talk to my Mom, they usually had a good hearted laugh about things and she would be on her way. This happened many times over the years in the seventies. My Mom would say there goes a good girl. I would like to pass on condolences to the whole Langver family and may she rest in peace. - Posted by: Lynne McGibney (Erickson) (Neighbour) on: Dec 05, 2022

Barb set the standard for hard work and I always had time for her insights and perspective. She seemed to have time to educate those that would listen, I learned so much from our time together. She was always welcomed a challenge and offered her experience to those that were seeking it. You will be missed so much Barb, Rest In Peace, kind lady and one of my many mentors!!
