KATE FUNK
1932 - 2022
On Thursday December 1, 2022, at the Grace Hospital, Kate age 90 years old, passed peacefully with her family at her side.
Kate is survived by her son Ron Funk (Linda), daughter Ruth Bodnarchuk (Lorne) and grandchildren, Zanen and April Bodnarchuk. She was predeceased by one son in 1953 and her husband Dave Funk in December 1979.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Desjardins Funeral Home, 357 DesMeurons Street, Winnipeg. Private family interment will follow in Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Hi Ron & Linda, Sorry to hear of your mom's passing, Ron, almost a year ago now. When I drive from Pembina Hwy. to St. Vital, I often go down Avalon Rd. instead of Bishop Grandin - a drive down memory lane - & I always slow down & look at your mom's house & remember the memories there & at Grandma & Grandpa's place across the road, even though Avalon Rd. looks A LOT different now than when we were kids. I just heard of your mom passing...I am so sorry...She certainly was a lovely and hardworking Lady...I was amazed at how well she kept up her yard even though she had your help...Never heard an unkind word spoken from her, she always saw good in this world....God Bless Her. Hello Ruthie and Ronnie. I was saddened to learn of the death of your mom. I'm sure your loving care, especially recently, was a great comfort to her. My childhood memories of her are still vivid, how she was gentle and kind, and always ready to smile and laugh. I remember feeling happy to be around her. Deepest sympathy to you and your families.
