I was privileged to work with him for many years and saw him occasionally at various conferences, etc. since. His love and pride of his family was always apparent. • I was so sorry to learn of Eric's passing . He was an intelligent, thoughtful ,friendly man, liked by everybody . • Dear Joan, Lindsay, Ian and family, I am completely heartbroken to learn of the passing of Eric, a most extraordinary gentleman. For decades, he looked after our family finances, and we remember with love and affection the many hours we spent with him as he patiently explained the vagaries of the market, and educated us on many other topics besides. He was a wonderful raconteur with a spectacular sense of humour, and he saw us exactly as we saw him - a fine human being deeply committed to family and living a life that made the world a better place. Even after Eric retired, we spoke on the phone on occasion and enjoyed catching up on each other’s Chapter Nexts. His buttons popped with love and pride whenever he spoke of Joan, his beautiful and devoted children and of course his gorgeous grandchildren!
