Sending heaps of love to you Joan, Lindsay and Ian and spouses and grandchildren. What a sad piece of news to hear that Eric has passed much too early in life. A lovely man, respected by all and devoted to his wonderful family. From an “old” Silver Heights / St Bede’s friend, remembering many projects that we all worked on together decades ago. - Posted by: Catherine Lee (Friend) on: Dec 14, 2022

Joanie, Lindsay, Ian and family...where to begin. When we think of E, every single memory makes us smile...most make us laugh out loud. His wisdom, wit and love of family will be greatly missed. He was truly one of my favourite people, and not just because he loved it when I taunted Joanie. Sending much love and healing thoughts to all of you from Kelowna! Dear Joan, Lindsay, Ian and family, I am completely heartbroken to learn of the passing of Eric, a most extraordinary gentleman. For decades, he looked after our family finances, and we remember with love and affection the many hours we spent with him as he patiently explained the vagaries of the market, and educated us on many other topics besides. He was a wonderful raconteur with a spectacular sense of humour, and he saw us exactly as we saw him - a fine human being deeply committed to family and living a life that made the world a better place. Even after Eric retired, we spoke on the phone on occasion and enjoyed catching up on each other’s Chapter Nexts. His buttons popped with love and pride whenever he spoke of Joan, his beautiful and devoted children and of course his gorgeous grandchildren! The world has lost a very special man - may he rest in peace. Kenny and I send our deepest condolences to the entire Sawyer family. 💖 - Posted by: Hope Springman (Family friend) on: Dec 10, 2022
