RITA FEUERSTEIN
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the beloved Rita Feuerstein announce the passing of a beautiful spirit and tremendous light on November 30, 2022. At the age of 70 years, after a long and admirable fight with cancer, she exhaled her last breath with loved ones by her side.
Our dear Rita leaves behind her husband of almost 48 years, Peter Feuerstein; son Michael Feuerstein and his partner Kyle Muff; daughter Lindsay Singh and her husband Aminder and treasured grandson Arjun "her little Pookie." The reality of who Rita leaves behind is vast. She was the third born of four children, (oldest brother Wilf Kieres, brother Stan Kieres and younger sister Pamela.)
Family was one above all and the driving purpose of Rita's life; she was a loving and supportive wife, extraordinary mother, a cherished auntie, caring sister, dear friend and most recently a beloved grandmother.
As our hearts lay open and our eyes swell with trying to grapple with the loss of this beautiful soul, we continue to remind ourselves that she is now at peace and would not want tears shed for too long. She would rather us celebrate her life and cherish the memories we created. We are forever grateful to call her ours in this lifetime, but still overwhelmed by her loss.
We welcome family and friends to join us for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Rita's name.

Best Aunt ever. Has always treated me with utmost love and care. She resides only in my memory as the most easy-going amazing ppl that touched my life. Uncle Peter, Michael, Kyle and Lindsay have been most welcoming. My father Wilf still reminisces the times spent. Rita would and still feels all our love. Best memory was of her listening to eye of the tiger. Pontiac 6000 (key didn't work) Perogies and the green corn flake dessert were her signatures. Gifts for my son when visited. I pass her resting place often. Not looking back bur trying to be as good as person. Not even close. Daniel Kieres 1980-2023 - Posted by: Daniel Peter (AUNTIE) on: Oct 30, 2023

I first met Rita in 2016 as a co-worker, and she instantly made me feel welcome. She was kind and thoughtful beyond belief and always remembered small details that I had shared with her. She loved her family more than anything and was so incredibly proud of her children. I will miss her sassy one-liners and her positive attitude, even when dealing with her difficult diagnosis. She was a fantastic chef and always happy to share her garden tomatoes and cucumbers with everyone at work. Sending my condolences to Peter, Michael, Lindsay and their families. - Posted by: Chelsea McCartney (Coworker) on: Dec 10, 2022
