Domenico Buccini on December 8, 2022 passed away peacefully in the ICU at St. Boniface Hospital with his family by his side.
Born on July 9, 1947 in Villalago, Italy, Domenico immigrated to Canada in 1967.
Domenico is predeceased by his father Antonio, his mother Adolorata both of Villago, Italy. He leaves to mourn, is wife Teresa of 50 years and his two children Antonella and Antonio. In addition, he leaves family in Italy, his cousins Anna (Raffaele) and family, Maria and family, Vincenzo and family. In Winnipeg, his cousins Pia (George) and family, Iza (Tito) and family, Eugenia and family, Ada and family. His extended family in Ireland, and many cousins, nieces and nephews across Canada, Italy and Ireland all of whom were very important to him.
Domenico will be missed by his close communities at the Holy Rosary Parish, the Knights of Columbus and members of the Wellness Institute.
Condolences will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue with Reverend Father Sam Argenziano officiating.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their tremendous care.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to either CancerCare, Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.

Our deepest condolences on the passing of Domenico. Terri, Nella and Tony, a wonderful caring husband and father. A very caring, genuine man, great neighbor and friend. He always had a smile and some jokes to share. Enjoyed walking into Domenico and Terri at the grocery store, and stood chatting, time flew lol This lovely man will be missed. We feel so lucky to have known Papa Dominico and mourn his passing. Such a welcoming and charismatic neighbour who quickly entered our hearts along with the whole Buccini family. I am very saddened to read of the passing of Domenico. He always had a smile on his face and I will miss seeing him on his walks and barbecuing in the garage. I will miss chatting with him and our general neighbourly discussions and his regular attendance at the AGM meetings. Domenico was truly a gem.
