Liebe Tante Lydia u. Familie, I wish to send my sincere condolences to all of you, as you mourn the loss of a husband, father, grandfather and brother. Tante Lydia I appreciate the great friends you and Onkel Ewald were to our family. I'll never forget Onkel Ewald's "firm" handshake. As I teenager, I always had to prepare myself for his handshake, so he wouldn't "crush" my hand. I always remembered that handshake, so now when I shake someone's hand I also make sure it's a good firm handshake. God bless you all as you rejoice that he is now with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! - Posted by: Harry Rohde (Friend) on: Jan 26, 2023

We are saddened by the news of Ewald's passing. One of our very favorite people and he will be sorely missed. Had the good fortune to talk with Ewald on a few occasions recently and reminisce about Church history and our journey together. A truly special person with a sincere and engaging personality we would be wise to match. We are so sorry Lydia and offer our heartfelt condolences to you and family. - Posted by: Lois and Garry Harland (Friends) on: Jan 25, 2023
