JOHANNES (JOHN) BAREND ZANDSTRA
February 22, 1937 - January 31, 2023
Peacefully, with family at his side, and with a humble yet steady faith, John has now passed on to be with his Lord and Saviour.
John was predeceased by his closest friend and loving wife Elizabeth (Bep) in May 2019, and by his brother Niek in January 2019.
John is survived by his four children, Peter (Cathy) Zandstra, Marietta Werschler, Nelly (Greg) Sinclair, Nina (Jon) Labun, and brother Hubert (Ilse). He was a model of sincere Christian faith and love to 14 grandchildren, their spouses and partners, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service to be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Christian Reformed Church, 653 Knowles Ave., Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to Resonate Global Mission (CRWM) and Donwood Foundation.

Ted and I would like to express our sincere condolences. We have always admired the wonderful family life John and Betty had. They demonstrated a most beautiful example of Christian living with their own children and they extended their hospitality to all in their path. We consider our relationship to the families of Marietta, Peter, Nellie and Nina as that of continued friendship. We pray that you are comforted by the legacy of your wonderful parents’ lives.
