Passed on January 28, 2023
With great sadness we announce the passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, brother and uncle at the Riverview Health Centre at age 94 years.
Walter was predeceased by his wife Valentine, parents, Henry and Elisabeth, parents-in-law, Albert and Anna, brother-in-law Tony, daughter-in-law Wanda.
He is survived by his children, Alfie (Michelle), Art, Lori (Scott); grandchildren, Nick (Christina), Cayden (Jess), Ryan (Ashley) and Trevor (Eva); great-grandchildren, Finley and Elizabeth; sister Hedi (Otto) and family and sister-in-law Renate (Gary) and family.
A funeral service will take place at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with viewing at 10:00 a.m.
The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff at Riverview Health Centre Section C3 East for all their excellent care and extreme kindness.
Donations in Walter's name can be made to Riverview Health Centre or CancerCare Manitoba.

Alfie, I am sorry to read of the passing of your dear Dad. Sad times. For him to live that length of time is remarkable. Hopefully his life was a good life and that his later years were spent without pain. Wishing you and your family happy days to come. My condolences, from an old friend.
