EDNA MAY BURR
It is with profound sadness that, we the family, announce the peaceful passing of Edna May Burr on January 24, 2023, at the age of 94.
Edna was the youngest of five children born to Henry Southwood Paul and Ethel Paul (nee Fiven), on April 3, 1928, in St. Vital in Winnipeg, MB. Edna lived the majority of her life in St. Vital, the last six years in Southdale. Edna met Norman William Burr and they were married on November 5, 1952. In the years that followed, Edna and Norm became proud parents to three children: Raymond, Linda, and Edwin. Edna worked for many years in an office setting, mostly the insurance industry and taking care of her family. She liked to travel, especially to the U.S. for vacations and weekends in Grand Forks and Fargo. Edna enjoyed spending her time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Edna will be forever remembered and cherished by her three children, Raymond, Linda, and Edwin, her grandchildren, Chad, Scott, Sharon (Cameron), and Michael, her great-grandchildren, Cohen, Cooper, and Chloe as well as many more relatives and friends. Edna was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, Jack, Bill, Amy, and Elsie, her husband of 62 years, Norman and daughter-in-law Cheryl.
A special thanks to the staff members that cared for Edna during her final days.
