CLARENCE WESLEY PROCTER
May 31, 1943 - February 2, 2023
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarence Wesley Procter. Suddenly while doing a job he loved, the "odometer" ran out on February 2, 2023, at the age of 79 years (yes, he still worked hard every day, even at that age).
Hard work was no stranger to Clare, and no job too big for him to handle. He had worked in heavy construction, and the trucking industry all his life. His strong work ethic began as a young boy in Woodlands, Manitoba, where he grew up on the family farm. This is where Clare developed a love of animals that carried on until his last day. Many years were spent with family at Rodeos and Stampedes where Clare raced his beloved Thoroughbred teams. His farm and horses have always been a strong passion in his life. The laughter, smiles, generosity and welcoming, helping hand for anyone and everyone will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Clare was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Isabel Procter; brother-in-law Ron Miller and the love of his life Marlene Olsen.
He is survived by his children, Marcel (Tammy), Shannon (Marc), Jamie (Dawn Rae); sister Sandra Miller; brothers, Dennis (Joyce), Lynn (Krystal); as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces; and Marlene's daughters, Tammy Boonstra and Kim Flannery. A very special thank you to his niece Kara Laing (Ryan) - who took such loving and special care of him for many years.
As per Dad's wishes a Celebration of Life and interment will take place at a later date on his farm in Lundar, Manitoba. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for family and friends at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall for those who wish to pay their respects and to say, "Catch Ya Later".
A very special thank you to Sigfusson Northern for the care and compassion given to him during his last moments.
