DONNA MARY GROVE
(SMITH)
June 8, 1940 - February 10, 2023

With dignity and grace in the comfort of her family, our angel began her next journey.
Many tears were shed by those left to mourn her loss; her daughter Maureen (Jean); granddaughter Kristin (Dan); daughter-in-law Kim; brothers, George and Ken, as well as many in-laws, nephews and close friends.
Donna smiled knowing that she would be reunited with those that predeceased her. This included husband Ken; son Murray; brothers, Jim and Jack; parents, Walter and Verna, and many relatives and friends.
Born in Carman, Manitoba, Donna later moved to Selkirk with her family which she made her lifelong home. Here she married Ken and raised her children Murray and Maureen.
Donna worked for MTS from the age of 15 through to her retirement, which resulted in many friendships.
As avid travelers, Donna and Ken went to many different places. Despite this, Donna was equally as happy spending her summers at Hecla (and later Spruce Sands) where she was again surrounded by many friends.
Donna and Ken loved to dance, and they shared their love for old-time Metis music with their granddaughter Kristin. Many memories were made as they travelled across Manitoba to watch her dance-never missing an opportunity to cheer her on.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Donna's healthcare supports: Dr. Cynthia, palliative care nurse Lyndsey, homecare coordinator Chantal, and Dr. Puff. Your support and guidance were very much appreciated.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, any donations can made to the Selkirk Community Foundation or Christ Church, Selkirk.
