LORRAINE MARIE CHARTRAND
1937 - 2023

It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Lorraine on February 11, 2023 at Beausejour Hospital.
Lorraine was predeceased by her husband Guy; daughters, Terry and Nancy; twin sister Louise; brothers, Bruce and Malcolm; brother-in-law Harry; as well as parents, Jack and Marie Wiley.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Mike (Pat), Danny, Marcel and Annette (Donny); son-in-law Roger; sisters-in-law, Anne and Jeanette; her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as close friends, Pat, Jean, Liz and Nancy.
Lorraine grew up in the area of Peterborough, Ontario. In her early 20s she moved to Manitoba where she spent the majority of her life. Lorraine's love for cooking had her always looking for new recipes which many of her family and friends enjoyed. During her time working as a homecare worker (which she loved), Lorraine made many wonderful friendships.
The family would like to thank Dr. Partyka and the nursing staff at Beausejour Hospital for all their care and compassion.
As per Lorraine's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at Jackson Creek, near her childhood home, where she will be reunited with her twin sister Louise.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • So sad to hear of Lorraine’s passing. She is well remembered. Rest in Peace - Posted by: Paul Chartrand (Brother in law) on: Feb 18, 2023

  • Sending our sincere condolences. We enjoyed visiting at our home with Uncle Guy and Aunt Lorraine growing up there was always a lot of cousins to play hide in go seek. I can still hear the echoes of Aunt Lorraine’s laughter. More recently, we enjoyed a visit at South Beach Casino. Aunt Lorraine will be missed. - Posted by: Jacqueline Lauzon (Niece) on: Feb 18, 2023
