Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Life-long friend here in Quebec. We usually only spoke on birthdays after my family moved away and that's how I just found out about his passing. Today (Jun 26th) is Ron's birthday. This explains why for the first time in decades he didn't call me for mine in May. Sad news for sure. So many great memories of him, his Mom, and his Dad. I recall hunting w/ him when we were around 14 and his appendix blew. He was in serious pain all day and being the good friend I am, I told him to stop complaining. He had surgery that evening. We had so many great teenage laughs, playing sports, and trying to impress young ladies. Ron will be missed but not forgotten. - Posted by: Wayne Reaume (Friend) on: Jun 26, 2023

  • This is terrible news. I hope Ronnie's family are dealing with this tragedy as best they can. I will always have good memories of RR sitting in the DJ Chair at CKUW as he finished up (yet another!) three hour live Blues Marathon. Best to you Ronnie as you continue broadcasting from that gigantic Control Booth up in the sky :) <3 Niall & Jeremiah 11 at 10 Tuesdays on CKUW - Posted by: Niall Mackintosh (Colleague) on: Apr 12, 2023

  • Rockin Ronnie synonymous with Bluesday on Tuesday on CKUW- a regular listen for blues fans. His show will be missed. - Posted by: Conga Jim (listener) on: Mar 04, 2023

  • So dreadfully sorry to learn of Ronnie’s passing. By all accounts he was instrumental in galvanizing the spirit of brotherhood in his family of St John’s Cathedral Boy’s School. He is much loved by many and will be sadly missed. - Posted by: Arthur Verheyde (St John’s School of Alberta alumni, SJSA Facebook page founder) on: Feb 26, 2023

  • Rest in peace Ron Lindsey you will be missed by so many - Posted by: wade sanders (A good friend that lived up the street) on: Feb 25, 2023
