I was so pleased that Vera kept in touch with me through emails. She was a brave soul fighting her cancer and soldiering on. I saw her for the last time at my Uncle Abe Thiessen's memorial service. She emailed Dec. 18, 2020 and expressed her pleasure with my family history book 'The Life and Times of David and Margaret Thiessen.' She read it following surgery and said she had not read that much since the '80s. My condolences to her husband and family. - Posted by: Judith (Heinrichs) Fehr (second cousin ) on: Nov 17, 2024

My condolences to Rudi, Ralph & Vera’s family. I enjoyed getting together with the 3 of you for the occasional dinners. I’m sure Vera felt so loved and cared for during your years together and especially when she took ill. Vera was a lovely lady. RIP Vera. - Posted by: Lisa Dixon (Friend) on: Apr 03, 2023

Our condolences to Rudi, Ralph and Vera’s family. We have fond memories of dinners at Joey’s and meeting Vera’s family at a birthday barbecue. Rudi & Ralph your love and care for Vera for the past eight years was heartwarming and we know she loved and appreciated everything you did for her. She is gone from this earth but has left her footprints on your hearts. - Posted by: Cathy & Murray Miller (Friends) on: Apr 01, 2023
