J. BRIAN TRUMP
On April 3, 2023 our Dad, Grampa and friend passed away peacefully at 82 years of age after a long battle with Dementia.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Doug Trump (Andrea), Kerry Lee and Jackie Trump, grandchildren, Hudson, Justyna, Myles, Kylie, Nils, Soren and Anders, and brother Melvin Trump. Brian was predeceased by his wife Joan Trump and brother Douglas Trump.
Brian was born on November 3, 1940 in Carmen, Manitoba and moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in his teens. Brian received a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Manitoba and worked for the Winnipeg School Division as a high school teacher and a consultant. In 1978, Brian shifted careers where he travelled to various countries performing management consulting work for non-profit organizations. Through these years, Brian shared his love for travel and appreciation for different cultures with his wife, Joan and his three children.
In retirement, Brian enjoyed playing golf and travelling to Texas for the winter months, where he made many new friends as well as reconnected with old friends and family. Brian loved to go to Bomber games, go camping, tell stories, play games, make pizza and share a crossword puzzle or two with those he loved. He was a gentle, insightful soul who loved to learn and share knowledge.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
We would like to thank the caretakers and nurses at the Rosewood and Waverley Residence and the N1 North Unit at Concordia Hospital for all their kindness and care.
Funeral and a Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, April 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., Wpg, MB.
Due to COVID and the inability to safely celebrate Joan’s life after her passing in 2020, we are celebrating the lives of Brian and Joan together.

Sincere condolences on the loss of your wonderful parents. We are the “upstairs neighbours” at the condo. Brian and Joan were the best neighbours. We shared some of the same interests. Blue Bombers being one that came to mind when I read the obituary. Brian joined us at home for the Grey Cup. That was in 2019. Bombers won and it was an exciting, noisy party !!!!. - Posted by: Val Rosentreter (Friend and neighbour) on: Apr 10, 2023

Our sincerest condolences on Brian’s passing. We first met The Trumps while golfing and quickly found them to be devotees of the game. Brian was always the interested listener, sharing a chuckle and anecdote about his life. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Patrice Yamada & Peri Venkatesh (Friend) on: Apr 08, 2023
