Dave passed peacefully at 60 years of age, with his family at his side, on Sunday, April 16, 2023.
Beloved husband of Pat, father of Kevin (Siera) and Kurtis (Grace), uncle to Chris, Shawn, Megan, John, Luke, Larissa, Julia, Jessica, Trey, Chloe, siblings, Gordon (Sue), Scott (Deb), Kathy (Fred) and son of Gwen.
As anyone who knew Dave would know, he was one of those very few people that one meets in a lifetime that makes you a better person just by knowing them. His easy-going, caring, and whimsical nature radiated from every pore of his body, leaving everyone and anyone who encountered him with a feeling of worth, purpose, and meaning. It wasn’t something he learned, it was his very essence that he imparted first and foremost on his family, but also to friends, colleagues, and literally everyone he met.
He was a loving husband and father and an all-around great guy and has left us far too soon. We’ll miss his hugs, smile, laugh, generosity, and so much more.
The family requests that any donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba (https://www.heartandstroke.ca/) in Dave’s memory, an organization they feel strongly about.
A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 23 at Thomson Funeral Home and a Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24 at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, with final viewing starting at 9:30 a.m.
