JOHN KRUEGER
It is with great sadness that that our family announces the peaceful passing of John Krueger at the age of 87. John was born in 1935, the son of immigrant parents who moved to Winnipeg from Germany in 1953.
Remaining to cherish John’s memory are his wife of 61 years, Mary; son James (Ken); daughter Bonnie (Larry); sister Helene Lesuik and children and sister-in-Law Adele Krueger and children. John is predeceased by his parents, Wilhelm and Helene and brother Heinrich.
John worked for many years in the sheet metal industry and retired from Fairweather Properties. Dad enjoyed his time spent at the cottage and had a great passion for anything related to the outdoors. He took great pride in his gardens (vegetable and flower) and the fruit trees that he lovingly tended to at the cottage. John had a quick wit, and was quick to laugh and enjoyed the company of family and friends. John had a great love for all animals and had a special place in his heart for his Chihuahua (Chicklet).
Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26 at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home located at 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
Special thanks to the outstanding nurses and doctors at Health Science Centre and Concordia Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Humane Society.
