GERALDINE (GERRIE) DEBRA MAZUR

(nee PRITCHETT)

Peacefully, after a brief illness, in the presence of her loving family, Gerrie Mazur passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital on April 22, 2023, at the age of 68.

Gerrie was predeceased by her parents, Ed and Norynne Pritchett, sister Linda Bowman, brother-in-law Ken Mazur, nephew Glen Mazur and sister-in-law Ethel Wilchynski.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Alex, son Darryl and her fur “baby girl” Allie. Sisters, Valerie Mazur, nephew Dean Mazur, Jackie Barsi (Bob), niece Karen Barsi (Ben) and great-nephew Aiden. Moira Stokes (Ken), nephews, Michael Western (Deanna), Scott Western (Sandra), brother-in-law Joe Wilchynski and other numerous nieces and nephews.

She was born in Stonewall and resided in Stony Mountain until she married Alex and moved to Beausejour in 1981 and remained there until her passing.

Gerrie was employed with Comstock in Winnipeg and then worked and finished her many years career with Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries in Beausejour.

Gerrie volunteered and held the position of treasurer for a number of years with Beau-Head Seniors Association. She was well known for her delicious cinnamon buns and butter tarts.

She had a heart of gold and was a very generous and caring person.

As per Gerrie’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the Beausejour Hospital, Selkirk Hospital, St. Boniface Hospital and the paramedics for the wonderful care provided to her.

Love you Ger!
