Peacefully, with her children at her side, June Eileen Gillies (Cole) passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 89 years.
June is survived by her sister Ruby Rennie of Kelvington, Saskatchewan, children, Lee Thomas Cole (Lee William Gillies) of Carman, Dr. Laurie Gillies of Toronto, Deborah Cole (Gillies) of Winnipeg, her grandchildren, Dylan Cole (Jacqui) of Winnipeg and Alice Till (Armand) of Toronto, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews and precious friends.
The family is deeply grateful for the loving care she received during her brief time at Riverview Palliative Care, particularly to her primary nurses, Jade, Courtney, Christine, and Dr. Volpe.
There will be a private Celebration of Life later this month, when we can enjoy the great outdoors, she loved so much.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart and Stroke Association or plant something in her memory.
