It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our loving father Peter Louis Joseph Vanderelst. He was born on July 24, 1950. He passed away on April 18, 2023.
Peter lived a very full life raising his family, traveling, and learning new things continuously. He had many passions such as leather work, photography, animals, and horses. He was always a cowboy at heart, his boots are still in the closet. He was always willing to be there for others and enjoyed a good conversation. Peter spent his career driving for Winnipeg transit and working with the ATU.
Peter is survived by his parents: Louis and Bernice Vanderelst. Three sons: Doug Vanderelst (Tracy), Daniel Vanderelst (Starla), and David Vanderelst. His stepdaughters Christine Randle and Cheri Ursell. His brother Tom Vanderelst (Crystal) and his sister Peggy Allison (Eric). He also leaves behind grandchildren: Kyle, Alec, Jonathon, and Vanessa.
He was predeceased by both of his wives: Marilyn Gail Shaw (married April 8, 1972) and Linda Ursell (married July 23, 2000) Both of his loving wives passed on from cancer.
