JOYCE MARGARET ZIKMAN
“I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2
We rejoice that our mom has gone to be with her Lord and Saviour.
Joyce was passionate about many things: cooking (recipes and books galore!) gardening, golf, painting, reading, watching curling, the ‘weather lady’, world events, and life. But her greatest interest was in loving and caring for her family, sacrificing in times of need. Family was everything, and knowing about their lives filled her days. She always made time for ‘having a conversation’ and ‘where was I going with that story?’ And humour - always finding joy and laughter in those conversations. We love and will miss those conversations, mom.
Left to remember her gift of life are children: Brenda (Randy), grand-children, Jonathan and Christopher, great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Josephine and Catalina; Barbara (Ryan), grandchildren, Kirsten (John), Kari, and Zachary; Tracey (Rob), grandchild Tyson (Hillary), great-grandchild Walker, Shane; Douglas, grandchildren, Kolby and Nicholas.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
