ROSETTA MOLINARI

August 30, 1936 – May 16, 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rosetta Molinari, at the age of 86 years.

Rosetta was born in Vico, Aprigliano, Cosenza, Italy on August 30, 1936, where she resided until immigrating to Canada in 1956.

Rosetta will be sadly missed by her children Reno (Rena) Molinari, and Lena (John) Corrigal, grandchildren, Christine (Demos) Louizos, Rosa Molinari, Rosemarie Corrigal (Travis), Bruce Corrigal (Chloe), and great-grandchildren Gia Louizos, and Bryan and Elena Ratzlaff.

Also cherishing Rosetta’s memories are her brother, Gaetano (Leonora) De Lorenzo of Vancouver, BC, sister Teresa Parise of Newmarket, ON, and brother-in-law Alessandro Cipolla of Winnipeg. As well as numerous other relatives and many many friends.

Rosetta was predeceased by her husband Silvio Molinari, her parents Pietro and Angelina De Lorenzo, and her in-laws Nerino and Pasqualina Molinari.

Condolences on Wednesday, May 24, at 10:00 a.m. followed by mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue with Father Gerry Ward celebrant. The family will be hosting a reception in the Church Hall following the Mass. A private Entombment will follow.

Pallbearers will be Christine and Demos Louizos, Rosa Molinari, Rosemarie Corrigal, Bruce Corrigal, Peter De Lorenzo, Guy De Lorenzo and Angelo Stabene.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of the 6th and 7th floors of the Health Sciences Centre for the excellent care Rosetta received and in particular Laine on the 6th floor. In addition, the family would especially like to thank Angelo Stabene for all that he has done over the years for both Mom and Dad.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosetta’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of your choice.

MOM, GRANDMA, REST IN PEACE.

WE LOVE YOU DEARLY AND WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.
