It is with great sadness that our beloved Karla passed away on May 21, 2023. She leaves behind her beloved children, Karen (Armin) and Gordon (Brenda); six grandchildren, Arno, Markus, Aisha, Avalon and Soleil and one great-grandchild Clementine. She joins her beloved husband Walter and grandchild Micah.
Karla was a woman who was a kind, compassionate person with a heart of gold. She accomplished much in her 87 years, immigrating from Germany with only her husband Walter, creating a lovely family that she prioritized over all else. She managed to make friends everywhere she went and enjoyed spending time at the cottage, camping and exploring the world in her mobile home with her beloved Walter.
She kept her zest for life until the very end, enjoying gin and tonics, spending lots of time with her family and always saying yes to a new adventure. Nothing was ever too much for her.
She will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held later. Instead of flowers, we kindly ask you to make a donation to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Manitoba.
