Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNINE DUPUIS
There are few words to express the deep pain and sorrow of losing Mom suddenly on Sunday, May 28, 2023, peacefully in her little home at the age of 71.
Mom is survived by her daughter Chantal (Eric), and her brother Maurice (Colette).
She was predeceased by father Paul, mother Angèle, brother Léo-Paul and sister-in- law Jo Ann Dupuis.
Mom was born in Letellier, Manitoba, and later moved to Winnipeg to take her nursing and pursue her career in which she took so much pride. She loved caring for others and continued doing so even after retiring in April 2017. Mom’s family and friends meant everything to her and nothing was more important to her than being with them whenever she could, whether that was hosting in her home, meeting them for coffee and talking about her favourite hockey team - the Winnipeg Jets, or simply chatting on the phone. One of her favourite pastimes was gardening, her garden was her happy place. Mom was a very devoted Mother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by many.
In keeping with Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

- Posted by: Paulette Manseau (Cousine) on: Oct 18, 2023

I didn’t really know Jeannine very well. Saw her a few times when I visited Aunty Simone and Aunty Agnes. She looks so much like her mom and I remember how Aunty Agnes loved to laugh. May God Bless her and welcome her into His paradise. - Posted by: Jeannette O’Donnell ( Manseau) (Cousin) on: Oct 17, 2023

Deepest condolences to Jeannine’s family and friends. Before Jeannine retired, we always sat together at lunch and chit chatted. She was always so nice to talk to. After her retirement I ran into her a few times at the Safeway on Marion street. Such a kind and beautiful person. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Chantelle Lecuyer (Friend) on: Jul 12, 2023

I had the great pleasure of being a neighbour to Jeannine. She and her little dog always greeted Cleo and me whenever we were outside. Jeannine became a very good friend over the six years I lived next door. She always had a smile and a welcome on her lips. Jeannine loved being outside. Late at night, when walking Cleo, she would often speak out of her darkend porch as she sat enjoying the evening. During the day, you could always find her puttering in her yard and in Chantal's yard. Nobody enjoyed outdoors more than Jeannine. Jeannine kept a good eye on the neighbourhood and was quick to advise if something or someone unsavoury was lurking about or doing suspect acts. She advised if somebody was breaking car windows or setting up camp in the park. She wanted her neighbourhood safe, and wanted all inhabitants of this neighbourhood to be on the lookout to keep it safe. Our chats over coffee or lunch, or over the fence, will be greatly missed. She was a gem of a person. All who knew her will have a good story to tell, Of that I am sure. Rest in Peace dear friend. - Posted by: Donna Gueret (Neighbour and Friend) on: Jun 08, 2023

Chantal and family. Both Fred and I were both saddened to hear of her passing. Jeannine's name came up hundreds of times in the 51+ years that we have been married. If we hadn’t had her as a friend to both Fred and I would never have met. Long story but a beautiful/funny/positive one. Merci, Jeannine for making it all happen. Have but great and fond memories of Jeannine. Madeleyne / Fred - Posted by: Madeleyne Nadeau-Fillion / Alfred Fillion (High school (+) friends) on: Jun 04, 2023

When I think of Jeannine I think… contagious laughter, beautiful soul, Folklorama goer, wonderful friend to my mom, welcoming arms, smiling and more smiling - just a joy to be around. She touched and influenced my life by sharing her joy for life and for raising such an amazing girl - Chantal. Her beautiful spirit lives in you Chantal and through all the shared memories. Je vais jamais l’oublier. Elle était tellement spécial. xoxo - Posted by: Martine MacPhee (family friend) on: Jun 03, 2023

- Posted by: Diane Labossiere (Amie) on: Jun 03, 2023
