CLIFFORD NORMAN ROBERT HALABURDA SR.

 

 


Clifford Norman Robert Halaburda, known to many as Cliff, passed away peacefully at the age of 80, on June 4, 2023, at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Cliff and his five siblings were born in St. Martin MB. He was predeceased by his father, Teodor Halaburda; mother Catherine (née Sidak); sisters Alice Williams (née Halaburda) and Mildred Knowles (née Halaburda).

Cliff is survived by his wife Cecile Tochor (née Contois); brothers Nick Halaburda, (Rose) and Max Halaburda, (Bella); sister Sylvia McMahon (late Tom McMahon); daughters Sandra Tochor and Pamela Tochor (Elisabeth Dube); sons Richard Tochor and Cliffy Halaburda, (Andrée Beauchemin); grand-daughters Madison, Geneviève, and Espérance; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cliff was recognized as a hard worker and held a variety of jobs throughout his life, including road construction, carpentry, commercial fishing, and farming. He was honoured to become a Councillor for the Gypsumville District, and to become Reeve for the RM of Grahamdale.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at the Cancer Care and Palliative Wards in the Dauphin Regional Health Centre. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
