• Bob and I became close friends when he arrived in Calgary to do his MSc in Psychology. I was privileged to sit in on his successful defence for that degree. Originally, we met while he was looking for accommodation and I was looking for a housemate. We spent much time together over the years, while he delivered the Globe and Mail Downtown, married Ines Bloom and had two children. After him and Ines separaated, he reconnected with a High School Sweetheat, Louise, moved to Winnipeg and married her. We kept in touch for many years, but I had not heard from him in quite a while, Then I discovered him passing and was stunned by the news. • I've known Bob for many years through his community work and his passion for murals. For years Bob has asked me to be a judge for the murals and I have loved the experience and the people I was honored to meet throughout the years. I was shocked to hear the news the very day I was looking forwarding to chatting with him about the St. James mural. I am saddened and know that the City of Winnipeg has lost a wonderful personality.
