We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Eileen on June 11, 2023, at the Health Sciences Centre.
Eileen was born and raised in Komarno. After moving to Winnipeg she worked as an accounting clerk at the Canadian Wheat Board, where she developed lasting friendships with a couple of her co-workers. She enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, gardening, feeding the birds, bunnies and all the dogs that walked by. She took great pride in her gardens and many people stopped to admire them. Some of her happiest days were spent at Solmondson’s Greenhouse in Winnipeg Beach where a tree will be planted in her memory. Eileen will be greatly missed by her family and friends and everyone that had gotten to know her.
In keeping with Eileen’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no service.
If you wish, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
