With great sadness, but much gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the death of Ethel Pfeil on May 19, 2023 at Seven Oaks Hospital.
Her memory will be cherished by daughter Linda (Richard), son Dan (Sonya), four grandchildren, Chad (Kelly), Sharla, Candace (Ryan), Sheri (Terry), five great-grandchildren, Allison (Marc), Jared (Billie), Nash, Meah, Connie and one great-great-grandchild McCoy. Ethel now joins husband Frank, her parents, all her siblings, her grandson Wade and many other family and friends.
Our family has been blessed with Mom’s unconditional love, support and generosity for so many years. Mom was born in Miami, MB, the eldest of six. She was always hardworking, dependable, thrifty, independent and willing to tackle any task. There were many farm chores, the gardens, then freezing, canning, pickling and cooking the produce and of course housework, without many conveniences. Mom was a teacher and always willing to help with learning. She had witnessed so much change in her life. And Mom was truly talented! We have been blessed with gifts of her ceramics, paintings, quilting, knitting, crochet, paper tole and meticulous sewing. Mom loved music and to dance, play her harmonica, read, do puzzles, go to Bingo, play cards, games and was involved in community and church activities. She had a sense of humour, to the end, and enjoyed visits and chats with family and friends at home or on the phone. She will be missed by many.
No services will be held as per Mom’s wishes. Many thanks to Dr. Coyle, her family physician for many years, and to the staff and Dr. Borrett at Seven Oaks.
