Molly Treloar was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the age of 93 years.
She was born February 3, 1930 in the RM of Daly near Rivers, Manitoba to William and Annie McMannis. Molly was the youngest of six girls, spending countless hours with “the girls” throughout her life.
Molly married Bob Treloar in 1962, and together they had three children: Doug, Michele and Pat. The family resided in Sanderson, Texas for a period of time.
Family was important to Molly. Molly loved to spend time with her sons and was supportive of all their activities.
Molly excelled about being a grandma and was extremely proud of her three grandchildren. She stayed up to date with their lives through email and phone calls.
Molly was an avid reader and an expert at the New York Times crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed golfing with her family.
She was very involved in the First Presbyterian Church and did their books for many years.
Molly was predeceased by her husband Robert Douglas Treloar in 1971, daughter Michele Treloar in 1965, and sisters Lillias (Everett) Westwood, Alvaretta McMannis, Peggy (Alex) Brennand, Mattie (A.J.) Treloar, and Beryl McMannis. Molly is survived by her sons Doug (Leanne), Kelby and Keegan; Patrick (Michelle), Mackenzie and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Molly’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
