It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Peter on June 28, 2023 at the age of 80.
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Ann Komish. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eugenia “Jean” of 37 years; niece Kathy (Randy) and their daughters, Carly and Meagan; niece Valerie (George); cousin Dana (Bill) and other extended family and friends.
Peter was born in Libau, Manitoba. He attended Mars School in Dencross and helped on the family farm. As a young man, Peter moved to Beausejour with his mom and dad. He worked as a steel inspector at Amsco in Selkirk. Peter met and married his true love on July 4, 1987 and they lived in Oakbank from 1987 to 2000 before moving to Ste. Anne in 2000 until his untimely passing. Peter loved to travel with Jean and every year their winter months were spent in Texas with their cat, Cleo.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 14 at 1:30 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB with interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Polish National Catholic Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peter’s memory to a charity of your choice.
