MARJORIE CORMACK
Marjorie was a gentle matriarch. Born into Saskatchewan's Great Depression, she was down-to-earth, with a wry sense of humour. Marj lived to extend kindness in countless gestures of love. She was proud of her work as a steno typist and was a mean card counter at Whist. Marj loved to "put her feet up" with a book, devouring biographies, politics, and history. When her feet were not up, she cycled with friends, swam laps, made green tomato mincemeat, and cooked Hutterite chickens. Marj loved to plan for visits by friends and family, fussing in happy anticipation. Liquorice and apricot brandy were her occasional vices. She lovingly cared for her "best friend" and husband Hank of over 70 years until his passing. We are all better for the gift of her presence in our lives.
Marj was predeceased by her parents, John and Myrtle Gilchrist, her husband Hank, brother Alan, and granddaughter Ella. She leaves her children, John, Jim (Maureen), Randy (Janet), and Patricia (Robert), her grandchildren, Tyson, Arlen (Stephanie), Dana (Daniel), Alistair (Anna), Iain, Liam, and Declan, and great-grandchildren, Imogen, Lachlan, Finnegan, and Eleanor.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Grace Hospice.
Interment to be held at a later date.

What a lovely and fitting tribute to Marj, your dear mother and grandmother/great grandmother. She was, indeed, a gentle and kind person, so personable and caring to all those she met/knew.
