With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of David Clayton Matthes on June 17, 2023, at the age of 59, in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba.
Dave was born on October 15, 1963, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Shirley and William Matthes. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Matthes; his three siblings, Darrell Matthes (Diane), Greg Matthes (Nola), and Cindy Kaatz (Dan); his wife, Judy Colwell; his two children, Jenna Conrad (David) and Andrew Matthes (Meghan), his stepson, Rob McFarlane (Courtney) and his three grandchildren, Cash, Lincoln, and Phoenix. He was sadly predeceased by his father, William Matthes and his brother-in-law, Greg Kaatz. He will be loved and remembered by his loving family, his many nieces and nephews, his friends, and his colleagues.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre - 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.
