On the afternoon of Monday, July 17, 2023, Celedonio (Jun) Castro Navasca passed away at the age of 77 with the love of his family surrounding him.
Jun was born in Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines and moved to Canada in September of 1973. In June of 2002, he married Roslyn and together they built a wonderful life together with their two sons, Bobby and Eric, and never left each other’s side. He was a patient husband and an easy-going dad. He was the jokester uncle and a loving Lolo (Grandpa). He never complained, even until the very end.
Jun will be missed, but fondly remembered by his wife, Roslyn; children, Bobby, Eric (Julie); stepson Dwayne (Darlene); his three children from his previous marriage, Ronaldo (Rhonaly), Edison (Monique), Melvyn (Jenneavie); grandchildren, Tia, Jai, Jin, Jet, Destinee, Dezirae, Devynn, Jennifer, Khrystle, Kyiandra, Maria, Marcus, Patrick, Matthew, Sarah; great-grandchild, Dominic (Jennifer); as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Jun’s life (Lamay) will be held on Sunday, July 23, 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be Monday, July 24 at 2:30 p.m., both at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street.
