Harold was born on December 24, 1930, to parents Harold Sr. and Sofia Priestley. Throughout his life, he was an avid cattle farmer. Even after his retirement, he loved to swing by his old cows to see how they were doing.
Sadly, Harold passed away on June 19, 2023 in Teulon, Manitoba at the age of 92. A celebration of Harold’s life will be held at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Teulon on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. to be followed by interment at the Windsor Cemetery.
Harold was predeceased by his parents, brothers Norman Priestley and Richard Priestley, sister Sophia Jensen, sister-in-law Stephanie Priestley, brother-in-law Chris Jensen, nieces Barbara Boyd and Donna Van Vlaenderen, and nephews Keith Emslie, James Priestley, Danny Jensen, and Tom Priestley.
He leaves behind his sister-in-law Lorna, nieces Katherine Emslie and Allyson (Mark) Myers, and nephews Steve (Darlene) Van Vlaenderen, Robert Priestley, James (Kelly) Priestley, David Priestley, Douglas (Katya) Priestley, Leonard (Debbie) Jensen, William Jensen, and Joe (Erin) Jensen. He also leaves behind many great-nieces and great-nephews: Stevan, Laurissa, Kate-Lynn, Shellyna, Corbin, Alyssa, Daniel, Kathleen, Stephen, Cassandra, Jeffery, Michael, Brittany, Cole, Mira, Veronika, Stefania, Aleksa, Aidan, Ryan, Sarah, Lynsey, Marissa, Rylee, Derrick, Hayden, Maddex, Dylan, Cody, Eric, and Matthew, as well as several great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the staff at Teulon’s Goodwin Lodge for their wonderful care of Harold the last few years.
Harold will be lovingly remembered and missed by his many family members and friends, including good friend Randy Van Wyk.
