Victor (Vic) passed away, with his wife at his bedside, on July 12, 2023 at St. Boniface General Hospital.
Vic is survived by his wife, Doris Weigel and her sons, Erick and Philip. He was predeceased by an older brother (died at birth); his father Victor and mother Florence.
Vic's life can be summed up by the definition of Success written in 1904 by Bessie Anderson Stanley:
Success
He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has enjoyed the trust of pure women, the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it, whether by an improved poppy, a perfect poem or a rescued soul; who has never lacked appreciation of Earth's beauty or failed to express it; who has always looked for the best in others and given them the best he had; whose life was an inspiration; whose memory a benediction.
In a handwritten note to Doris, Vic wrote the following: "The thoughts and feelings we have shared are in each of us complete and boundless. Separate and one in life."
Vic ALWAYS HELPED THOSE WHO NEEDED IT.
There will be no funeral service. Vic was cremated and (in the future) his final resting place will be in the Glenboro Cemetery in Glenboro, MB.

My deepest condolences to Vic’s wife and family. My memories of Vic were from when we were younger. He was kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. I used to enjoy our visits at his parents home. May he rest in peace. Comfort and consolation to Doris, Erick and Philip - Posted by: Carol Lawrence (Cousin ) on: Aug 10, 2023
