MARIE FRENCH
Marie French (nee Stanton) was born in 1942 in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire.
Marie met and married Keith French New Year’s Eve, 1962. Keith was just out of the army and got work in Canada. When the children were still young, Marie, their two children Donna and Darren joined him in Canada.
Marie worked at Westwood Drugs, made many friends throughout her life and made everyone she met feel welcome.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at 2North in Oakview Place for their kindness and compassion over the last eight years.

I met Marie, Keith, Donna and Darren on Woodlands Cres. They had a house a few doors from my family. Donna and I were in the same grade so we all became friends. We had family trips to the Whiteshell where we all shared a cabin. I also had the privilege of going to Lincolnshire with Marie and Donna to spend some time with their family. My mother, Eileen, was a very good friend of Marie’s. Unfortunately in the past few years both their health declined. Rest In Peace Mrs. French. My deepest condolences to all of the family. Met Marie and Keith when Bob & I moved to Canada in 1970. We lived in the same apartment block, Birchwood Terrace. Marie babysat our oldest daughter who was quite young, 1 year, while Bob & I were at work. Marie was a wonderful caring lady, and introduced us to her cousin when we moved to Calgary. Bob & I visited Marie and Keith a few years ago on a visit to Winnipeg, and made us very welcome. Met Marie and Keith many years ago when We all lived in Birchwood Terrace. Many parties and gettogethers with them and other mutual friends.
